Whatever he has promised, he will bring it to completion !

I got married to Vinay in 2010 and moved to Bangalore from Kochi, Kerala. I was looking for a good church to be part of and that’s when through one of my brother’s friend named Robin, I came to Hi-Praiz in 2011.

From day one we knew this is the church we were meant to be in. Many months later like every other couple we were also expecting and waiting for a baby. Pastor at that time called us, prayed over us and prophesized we would be blessed with a child.

We were touching 3 years of marriage and still there was no sign of a pregnancy and hence we went for a checkup. I was diagnosed with a rare disease called Genital TB which was the reason why I could not conceive. Treatment for Genital Tb started and it went on for 8 months, doctor advised me to take a break and rest for another 6 months because the medicines administered for treatment were very strong. We tried to conceive naturally for another 2 more years with no result but pastor kept praying over us and prophesied that we would have a child so we held on to the promise.

Our families by now was losing their patience and asked us to start treatment for fertility. We were not too happy about it but to not hurt our families we went ahead and started the treatment. We knew what God has promised he would fulfill and we assumed probably this is how he wants to do it. All through this time our church and pastor stood by and relentlessly prayed for us as we were going through IVF procedures. We went through 3 rounds of IVF procedures, all three failed and we could not even get one healthy egg. Finally the doctor herself told us that there is absolutely no point wasting our time and money on any more treatments. We stopped all treatments but still held on to the promise of lord. Couple of years later on a Sunday service pastor called me over and prophesized that Lord will do what he has promised and I would not have to wait much longer. The very next month I got to know that I have conceived. Few months later I delivered a adorable baby boy in the year 2022.

And we named him John :)

At the age of 40, after 12 years of marriage, after trying everything medically possible and doctors completely giving up. Like in the verse Luke 18:27 “what is impossible with man is possible with God” and it was truly God who gave us this beautiful baby. I know this is the lord’s doing and it is marvellous in our eyes (Psalms 118:230).
