Two years I was diagnosed with endometriosis, also referred to as a "chocolate cyst," affecting both my ovaries. The diagnosis came after a scan, prompted by experiencing excruciating pain during my menstrual periods.

Following the diagnosis, I had sought the guidance of a gynecologist and began using mild contraception. The primary cause of this condition is believed to be menstruation, where tissues accumulate near the ovaries, forming cysts that result in severe pain.

Medical research and doctors have often stated that there is no permanent cure for this condition, suggesting surgical intervention, childbirth, or contraception as potential options. Some have cautioned that these cysts may reoccur over time, making permanent cure challenging.

During this period, I was not in a condition or mindset to contemplate marriage or consider potential partners. The contraception had side effects such as hair thinning, weight gain, and bodily discomfort, which significantly affected my self-esteem and confidence. However, as a family, we believed that surgery or marriage were not the only solutions. We placed our faith in the healing power of the Lord.

We declared, prayed, and appealed to the Lord, acknowledging His ability to heal, even if it required time. We sought prayer support from our church, and our congregation fervently prayed for my healing. After two years of medical treatment and prayers, this is what transpired:

In August 2023, I underwent another scan, which revealed that one cyst had disappeared while the other was still present.

Following the scan, the doctor did not prescribe any medication and recommended another scan in September 2023.

During the interval between August and September, I experienced normal menstruation with good blood flow. It is essential to note that menstruation is a key factor in cyst formation, which could have contributed to the recurrence.

However, the scan conducted at the end of September (on the 30th, as there is no 31st in September) reported the astonishing result of NO cysts.

Absolutely no cysts!

The disappearance of the cyst without medication in the span of two months is a miraculous testimony of God's healing, witnessed by our family. Only God could perform such a miracle, and our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ's faithfulness has been renewed since the Lord had told in prayer in the church that He would heal me this year.

Medical professionals caution that the cysts may return, but we have faith and believe that the Lord has granted me permanent healing, and I will not experience the cysts again. I also pray for my continued normal menstrual cycles and fruitfulness in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
